Boyne

“Don’t get precious about anything!”

As the partnership was starting to form, ‘Don’t get precious about anything’ was one of the first things that Chris Boyne said to his new writing partner, Scarfo.  Carrying this philosophy into the project was one of the most important first pieces of advice Boyne could offer to someone working with him.  The idea of breaking something, and then breaking it again and again and again – that is how you eventually get to the finish line.

A veteran of the KW music scene as a performer, recording artist and merchant – 20 years at a local independent record store, Boyne understands what works and what doesn’t.  While there is always subjectivity, there are things that are objectively good and objectively bad in music and he isn’t shy about telling you what those are.
